Advocate Robin Sewlal is the Chairperson of Radiocracy. He further serves as an advisor, consultant, editor, strategist and trainer for various entities. Robin is a Judge for the prestigious Vodacom Journalist of the Year competition as well as the United Kingdom Community Radio Awards, member of the Public Sector Audit Committee Forum, and honorary member of the Golden Key International Society.
He helped establish Audwax Music Radio while studying at University of Durban-Westville, and joined Dome Music Radio when moving across to University of Natal (both institutions have since merged, and now known as the University of KwaZulu-Natal). Robin has extensive experience in journalism having freelanced for both the print and electronic media including The Leader newspaper and Capital Radio. He founded and chaired the DJ Association, was Vice-Chairperson of the Music Association of Natal (Mana) and a Council Member of the Natal Cultural Congress (NCC). Robin served for many years as a Commissioner at the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA), Judge of the Sanlam/Media Development & Diversity Agency (MDDA) Community Broadcast Media Awards, Adjudicator for the Liberty Radio Awards, and acted as facilitator of the Community Television Model Consultation workshop for and on behalf of the national Department of Communications in 2013.
He was the Associate Director and Head of the Department of Journalism at the Durban University of Technology for several years. Robin has served on the boards of various entities being Chairperson of the King Dinuzulu Hospital Board for three terms.
He has edited several publications including three books on Bollywood, the Corporate Governance Toolkit for the MDDA, “Inspirations” (in celebration of South Africa’s 20 years of freedom and democracy), “Reflections of the South African Media: 1994-2019”, and “My Radio Memory”.

Krivaan Sewlal is a Chartered Accountant with an array of experience in both professional services and in commerce. He works in the corporate finance space and has a keen interest in financial markets, corporate affairs and financial literacy. As a facilitated trainer, coupled with his passion for creating and building positive relationships, he is interested in the financial development of South Africa.
