In celebration of the country’s 25 years of democracy, the book was released on Madiba Day 2021. It comprises 40 chapters written by high-calibre individuals in their respective media fields of expertise. Former Sky News senior anchor Jeremy Thompson penned the Foreword, and authors include Uveka Rangappa, Joe Ritchie, Ela Gandhi, Lumko Mtimde, Zayn Nabbi, Mapula Sedutla, Kenny Maistry, Salma Patel, Bill Siemering (since inducted into the US Radio Hall of Fame), Jeremy Maggs, Anant Singh, Ryland Fisher, Martin Challenor, Karthy Govender, Sbu Ngalwa, Fred Khumalo, Avashnee Moodley, Sizwe Pamla, Fakir Hassen, Peter Glendinning, Steve Ahern, Selwyn Bartlett, and Chris Marnewick. International input came from writers based in the United States, New Zealand, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, and China. The publication is mainly in honour of global icon Nelson Mandela.
